If you've been curious about the buzz around Lake County's great wines,
here's your chance to do a one-stop comprehensive tasting. On October
3rd, the Lake County Winery Association will host the 2009 People's
Choice Wine Awards, showcasing wines crafted from Lake County grapes.
A prestigious panel of judges evaluated 168 wine entries and narrowed the field to 38 finalists in a variety of categories. On Saturday,October 3, from 11 am to 4 pm, the "people" (that's you) will cast ballots for their favorites among the judges' top picks. An additional 17 wines the judges' granted Awards of Distinction also will be available for tasting.
The People's Choice tasting event will be held at Six Sigma Ranch & Winery in Lower Lake, located 34 miles north of Calistoga.
