Wine OR Wine & Food Event

Wine OR Wine & Food

With the brief summer coming to a close and the first chill of autumn swirling about; our thoughts run to the warming effects of a glass of wine. Soon enough the fires will be lit, and the raking of the leaves will begin in earnest. Luckily, our first auction of the fall features many great bottles from particularly fastidious collectors.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is well represented in this sale, including two sequentially numbered cases of 1971 Romanée St. Vivant Marey-Monge. We also have several lots of La Tâche from recent, as well as older vintages, with very reasonable reserves.

For those whose thoughts run to Bordeaux, we have all of the first growths represented, including 1959 Latour, 1982 Lafite, 1982 and 1986 Mouton, as well as other greats such as four vintages of Pétrus.

Other offerings from across Europe include the 1970 Quinta Do Noval Nacional Port, a 1985 Sassicaia, several vintages of Dom Pérignon, and rarely seen ancient Champagnes such as two Jeroboams of 1937 Pommery Brut, and a magnum of 1969 Ruinart Père & Fils La Maréchale.

Lovers of spirits will take notice of the various Cognacs in the sale, including Rémy-Martin George VI, and the Martell Silver Jubilee 1952-1977; both in their original packaging.

If the wines of the new world are more to your liking, the immaculate bottle of 1993 Screaming Eagle ought to entice, along with verticals of Harlan, Hundred Acre, and Ridge Monte Bello.

As we all return to the indoors after our summer vacation there is nothing as comforting as a bottle of fine wine to welcome you home. So register early and peruse our listings for your next great bottle to enjoy with friends.
