Christina LaBarba and Claudine Martyn, Co-Chairs of AIWF D/FW Chapter Days of Taste invite you to Local for this very important event benefiting Days of Taste. This is your chance to share their excitement for the Fall Session of the Days of Taste Program by participating in a significant way. Days of Taste Fall program will be held in November at the Dallas Farmer's Market. More than 400 4th and 5thgrade students will attend. Each child will personally receive an experience in "taste", learn about nutrition from a Vegetable Grower and a Chef and create a type of salad of their choosing with their chosen ingredients. For many of these children this is the first hands-on nutritional experience they have ever received. Please join us for the "New American" style cuisine which has made Local a favorite. AIWF is very fortunate to have Executive Chef and Proprietor Tracy Miller and Local's Pastry Chef Aliza as our hosts for this evening. Tracy and Aliza are strong advocates for the AIWF Days of Taste Program. ''What could be more fun than teaching kids about food" stated by Tracy. Local is very pleased to be honored for a second year in a row in the 2009 Zagat Restaurant Guide as one of only five Dallas Restaurants with a top food rating of 28. Chef Tracy focuses on using only the top ingredients available and has created this menu especially for AIWF. Wines have been especially selected to compliment each course.
