2009 First Annual Canton Wine and Jazz Festival
The Canton Community Association, O’Donnell Business District Association and Republic National Distributors are teaming up to sponsor Canton’s first Wine and Jazz Festival to be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm, rain or shine on O’Donnell Square in Canton, Maryland just four blocks from the waterfront in Baltimore!
The festival, aimed at providing exciting ways to experience some of the most versatile
grape varietals from around the world, jazz bands to include the music of The Larry Brown Quartet, Cold Spring Jazz Quartet, and Carl Filipiak and the Jimi Jazz Band along with various Canton retailers, and specials from local restaurants the day of the event.
You’re sure to find something for everyone at this event! In addition the great jazz bands, there will be traveling street performers and an interactive children’s area.
Tickets will be $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event, kids 12 and under free. Your ticket will include 10 wine tastings tickets with additional tickets for sale at the event to festival participants who would like to experience wines of more complex varietals and to purchase your favorites by the glass. In addition, you will be able to purchase your favorite wines by the bottle at discounted prices to take home and enjoy!
Proceeds will go to the Canton Community Association to fund projects to improve the neighborhood!
