Regarding vintage quality, Spain cannot be reduced, as it happens all too frequently, by a single blanket generalization. 2006, as much as 1996 did a decade earlier, lives in the shadow of the two preceding star vintages. However, it was superior to both years in some areas, and the top wines show unusual grace and balance. In this tasting we will evaluate the quality of this overlooked vintage.
