The Guest of Honor
Kathryn Walt Hall is the proprietor of Hall Vineyards and has been involved in the California wine industry since her family first purchased a vineyard more than 30 years ago. Kathryn personally managed the family vineyard from 1982 to 1992. During this time she produced Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon under the Walt Vineyards label. Continuing her family tradition, she maintains a strong emotional attachment to the vineyards, wine and the wine country. Kathryn has had a very distinguished career as a successful businesswoman, community activist, and most recently as the United States Ambassador to Austria.
The Restaurant
The Place at Perry's (previously known as Perry’s) has received many accolades including a recent four star rating by The Dallas Morning News and national recognition from Zagat, The Wine Spectator and DiRona. The quietly sophisticated interior features warm wooden floors, subdued lighting and rich chocolate brown high-backed leather booths that create an intimate dining setting perfect for this exceptional wine event!
