With checkered tablecloths, candlelight and Italian music in the background, the scene is set for the very enjoyable 8th annual Taste of Italy Wine and Food Tasting. The event takes place at 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Come and receive a commemmorative wineglass to enjoy the traditional homemade wines made by area winemakers while you sample the large selection of tasty foods. There will be a door prize, Chinese auction and raffle. A basket of homemade wines will be auctioned before announcing the winners of the wine judging and the Last Box Charley (People's Choice) Award. This event is sponsored by the Brownsville Area Revitalization Corporation (BARC). Dress is casual. Not-for-profit winemakers are invited to participate by contacting Caroline Fecek at 724-785-3520.
