Learn the history of Champagne & Sparkling wines and the process of producing them. Explore the different regions of the worlds that produce sparkling wines. The instructor will conduct a discussion on matching Champagne and Sparkling wines with food; as well as, providing you with examples on great matches. A parallel tasting of six different champagne and sparkling wines is included.
This class is taught by: Nidal Daher, Certified Sommelier He has been working in the wine industry, covering restaurants, hotels, retail, and consulting for wholesale distributors for over 15 years. In various years he has served as the wine director, event sommelier, and catalogue scriber for the Detroit International Wine Auction. Co-author of the book “Romance Begins in The Kitchen”. Former fine wine director and buyer for the Merchant of Vino. A professional member of the French gourmet society “Chaine De Rotisseurs”. Founder and president of the only Michigan wine consulting company, SOMMELIER CONNECTIONS, INC. and currently managing its division “Unique Wine Cellars”, for custom designing and building of wine cellars and cooling equipments.
