Beer
Ages 21&Up: Thrilling things are happening to beer, and we're going to investigate some of the best! The Sweed's prefer paler meats such as pork or chicken, and they often work best with a malty lager. Red meats such as game, lamb, or beef work best with richer, fruity ales. Spicy foods are best foiled by lagers; but Thai cuisine, being piquant and delicate, works best with a clean, delicate lager. Robust Mexican spicing invites the accompaniment of one of that country's fine, mildly sweet, Vienna-style beers. Barbecued meats find a natural kinship with drier, smoky examples of American craft-brewed stouts and porters. The menu cannot be completed until the beers are selected, but it will be a varied and delectable selection of food to match the beers.Remember, in these classes we cook, then clean up, then taste the foods and at least nine different beers together. Take home recipes. $20 food and beverage fee due instructor at class time.
Fees: $52.00
