Friuli is Italy’s hidden treasure of wine production, located in its northeast corner, where Austrian, Hungarian, and Slovenian cultures influence cuisine as much as Italian. Its wines will most definitely exceed your expectations. White wines indigenous to Friuli are some of the world’s best crafted, refreshing wines, for a fraction of the price of many better known ones. This tasting will offer both the region’s white and red varietals, including tocai friulano, ribolla gialla, piccolit, pinot grigio, pignolo, and Blaufraenkisch. Served with Friuli antipasti, including “cuts” of prosciutto San Danielle and regional cheeses.
