Green Jug Wine Tasting Bar – Four Grillings and a Birthday!

This last Saturday we tasted through the Opus One and Robert Mondavi lineup – there were some fantastic wines poured and great discounts. The Opus One 2005 and the Mondavi Reserve 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet were awesome, and the stunner of the day was the quality to price offered by the Robert Mondavi “Oakville” Napa Valley Cabernet – tremendous quality at just over thirty bucks.

This week, Saturday August 22nd from 2:00-6:00pm, the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral inspired us to pluck from our shelves wines to pair with summer grilling and one Napa Valley Cab to stun the wine connoisseur on your gift list. Whenever friends get together – to fire up the grill or to celebrate a special occasion, a bottle of great wine – as part of the backdrop, or sharing the center of a celebration – can make the moment truly memorable. All of the wines presented this weekend promise pleasure in their flavors and bouquets. The Egelhoff 2004 Napa Valley Cab, as a gift or the center of a special dinner, promises to deliver that “wow” factor we get from world-class wine.

Bring a wine-loving friend – invite a friend who has not yet been to the tastings. If your schedule allows, earlier always has more elbow room at the Wine Tasting Bar, though the wine poured is always the same. The entire flight (group) of wines is just twelve dollars.
