The Rochester Chapter of Women for WineSense welcomes BDL Wines, a local wine purveyor owned by Bob and Paula Valeri and John Ramsey from JR Wines.
Small-production artisan wines are treasures for wine lovers. They’re frequently hard to find and very often overlooked by national publications. Without attention in the press, national marketing, and widespread distribution, how do these wines get into the hands and cellars of wine lovers?
Bob and Paula have personally assembled a portfolio of 30 small-lot producers who handcraft their wines, and they maintain close relationships with each winemaker. To connect these special producers with consumers in New York State, BDL Wines offers outstanding, responsive service to restaurants and wine shops throughout the area.
John Ramsey is a Pittsford resident and former electronics business owner who sold his communications test equipment business and pursued his dream of making wine in Napa. With consulting winemaker Kirk Venge, John makes less than 800 cases of Cabernet, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Syrah each year. Robert Parker and Wine Enthusiast have given his wines high praise. John is a dynamic storyteller with great insight into the world of boutique wines.
