THE ART OF BLENDING

(as seen on the TV Show the Bachelor)

Looking for something unique to do with your friends, your significant other or a great date?

Take a class where you can learn about wine, fine art and make a keepsake of your time together.

First, we taste and discuss several varietal wines. Cab/CabFranc/Merlot/Malbec/Syrah and others.

Second, we blend a wine to your liking, using different beakers and thieves.

Third, we meet the artist and she discusses her background, talents, education, and ideas on art.

Fourth, we provide everything you need to make a master work of art all students can paint take home piece of work.  If you wish, you can work with the artist to express your ideas.

Art, like wine, is based on several basic principles: raw ingredients, materials, wisdom, vision, and talent.

*Note: you will be allowed to take your artwork with you unfortunately do to legal limitations, we do not make wine you can take home in this class.

Guest Artist Kiyomi
When I was a child, my mother told me that Kiyomi meant Wise one looking over the world.  Those were major shoes for me to fill! I use the process of creation to find that wise one within myself. My art offers the viewer a peek into my soul. Whatever I am going through, learning, and philosophies I am adopting as my own, flows from my inner being, to the paint brush and ends up on the surface of my work.

Mother Nature is my number one muse. Color and organic shapes influenced by nature brings my art to life.

I use intense color to honor the palette nature has to offer. A tropical fish in turquoise water, a sunset in the desert, an orchid in the rain forest...these things inspire and motivate me to create.

I gravitate towards using organic shapes in all my compositions.
The fact that many things existing in nature are not symmetrically perfect is a perfect idea.
