Dan Phillips, owner of The Grateful Palate, is a unique and revolutionary businessman. Being one of the first to import high quality boutique wines from Australia, Dan has the respect of the wine industry and famous icons like Robert Parker. Dan saw the future in wine and took advantage of his insights and position by starting his own Australian wines brands, like the mega popular "BITCH" Grenache and the entire industry continues to follow his lead. Dan also has a passion for Bacon, and Dan started the mega popular "BACON OF THE MONTH CLUB" featuring artisan bacon to many of the same clients as his fine wine business.
In my prior life of wine sales (about 15 years ago), I sold wine to Tim Coles, now the regional representative for The Gratefu Palate. Tim spent a great amount of time sharing his insight and wine wisdom with me and helped me with my wine education. For one night only, Tim Coles will join us to taste us through a great list of Aussie wines and Artisan bacon recently featured in the Bacon of the Month club.
