The Wine Opener is a national wine-tasting series to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Held in 15 cities, The Pittsburgh Wine Opener will be a relaxed, yet lively, evening for more than 350 expected guests.
Sip Great Wines poured by domestic wineries. Savor Great Cuisine presented by local Pittsburgh restaurants such as Siba, Nakama, The Melting Pot, Steelhead Grille, Sewickley eights and Piccolinas, where the area's hottest chefs prepare their specialties just for you. Discover the Marketplace where local handbag, jewelry, cosmetic vendors, Massage Envy, and gift shops present displays for your enjoyment. Guests will also be treated to a large silent auction highlighting wine, cuisine and gift items, plus live music, entertainment and several raffle opportunities.
The event appeals to wine novices looking for a casual and fun environment to taste wines, as well as to business professionals looking for an evening on the town with friends and co-workers. With the “uptown” caliber of restaurants involved, don’t plan on eating dinner before you attend!
