The first course of the Meeker Wine Dinner will feature seared day boat sea scallop, roasted pears and hazelnut buree blanc paired with the 2005 Lobster Cove Chardonnay. The second course includes Serrano ham wrapped white asparagus, bucheron goat cheese brulé and roasted heirloom tomato coulis, served with the 2005 Hand Print Merlot. The main course features grilled buffalo tenderloin, fois gras ravioli and port wine shiitake mushroom reduction, paired with the 2003 Meeker Barbarian. Dark chocolate, stilton blue cheese mousse with crème anglaise served with the 2004 Fro Zin Zinfandel rounds out the meal as dessert.
Established in 1984, The Meeker Vineyard is located in Sonoma County California’s Dry Creek Valley. The winery offers a variety of signature Zinfandels, Merlots, Cabernets and Chardonnays, as well as Sirahs and Syrahs. The Meeker Vineyard has garnered recognition from The Wall Street Journal and Wine Spectator Magazine, and has won numerous industry awards including being named among the “100 Best Wines of the World” by Wine Spectator.
Bottles of The Meeker Vineyard wines will be available for purchase at the event and Meeker will be signing bottles for guests.
