Wine OR Wine & Food
Germany and Austria boast some excellent wines that are often overlooked. This week, Michael Skurnik is bringing in some lesser known varietals for you to enjoy.
Features free tastings of:
Ecker Brilliant Zweigelt
Ripe, lithe, cherry and plumy fruit on the nose, full of spice and substance and a kind of roasted-tomato savor on the finish.
Geil Scheurebe
a highly aromatic white wine - with fruit coming into precise focus, orange Creamsicle and red currant on the nose.
Salomon Gruner Veltliner
Intensely aromatic with generous fruit a snappy structure: it’s fresh sugar snap pea beany and lentilly with great minerality.
