Roger Roessler founded Roessler Cellars in 2000. Together with talented winemakers Wells Guthrie (consulting, own label is Copain) and Scott Shapely (formerly of Siduri Wines), they craft marvelous Pinot Noirs from appellations throughout California. They produce just fewer than 7,000 cases of wine total. Any big Pinot fan has to give these wines a taste. Truly one of the best kept secrets for Pinot Noirs.

2004 Clos Pepe Santa Rita Hills Chardonnay
Clos Pepe is a family-owned vineyard and winery set in the heart of the Santa Rita Hills of Santa Barbara County. With morning fog and cool, windy afternoons, this area is ideal for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The small amount of chardonnay planted in their vineyard yields wines with concentrated minerality, crisp acidity, and seamlessly integrated fruit and structure. 98 cases produced
 
2006 La Brisa Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
"La Brisa" " is Spanish for the seasonal coastal breeze that rolls over some of Northern California's most prestigious Pinot Noir vineyards, and the cooling influences of this breeze can be seen in the elegant style exhibited by our La Brisa Sonoma Coast blend. 1137 cases produced
 
2007 Red Label Sonoma County Pinot Noir
Sonoma County is home to many diverse vineyard sites and unique micro-climates, and we have drawn on this diversity for our Red Label Sonoma County Pinot Noir. The combination of fruit from several vineyards has enabled us to showcase the qualities of the appellation as well as many of the nuances from each site, yielding a wine full of complexity and character. 1075 cases produced
 
2007 La Encantada Pinot Noir
Located in the western-most portion of the Santa Rita Hills on Santa Rosa Road, the La Encantada vineyard is owned by Richard and Thekla Sanford, who have been farming Pinot Noir in the region since the 1970's. They are focused on sustainability and quality, and the variety of clones and expositions in the vineyard endows wines made from this fruit with amazing depth and complexity. 275 cases produced
