This hot summer why not take some of our wines and make sangrias for your guests? This Saturday we will be making 3 different kinds of Sangria, one will be made with a sparkling wine, a sangria from an Italian Rose, and a dark spicy wine from Spain will be the main ingredient for our third. All attending will receive the recipes for all 3 Sangrias. The wines for this tasting will be:
VAN LOVEREN – PAPILLON, SOUTH AFRICA
Made with Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the fruitiness on this wine lends itself perfectly for making Sangria.
2006 VILLA FOLINI – FIORI DI MERLOT “ROSE”, VENETO, ITALY
A fresh and fruity rose, aromas of cherries and raspberries, perfect for a berry-laden sangria.
2003 PENYA CADIELLA – VIN DE COMTAT, SPAIN
A supple blend of Monastrell, Garnacha, Tempranillo, and Cab. Round, ripe, spicy fruit flavors and a nice acidity perfect for sangria.
