Southern France — Provence, Languedoc, and Roussillon — is the oldest and most diverse wine region in the whole country. This region was rich in wine almost 800 years before the ancient Romans arrived to plant the rest of France, and you can taste the history in your glass.
This 3-week class is a great opportunity to get to know this part of the wine world intimately. We will take you deep into southern French wine history and culture with a wide sampling each week of reds, whites, pink wines, and even some dessert wine. Class will begin in Provence, then travel west to Languedoc-Roussillon, then finish in the Rhone valley, one of France's most impressive wine regions. Instructor: Jonathon Alsop
