Welcome back for another weekend tasting.  This time, we will be showing some excellent whites from around the world, as well as a classic red Rioja. 

Romeo and Juliet Garganega & Sauvignon Blanc, Verona, Italy, 2008 – A really excellent value.  Combining the crispness and snappy acidity of Sauvignon Blanc with the clean refreshing creamy notes of Garganega, this wine exhibits excellent balance and will go great with seafood, salads, or as an aperitif.

Marques de Caceres Rioja Blanco 2008 – One of the best values in white wine, period.  Made of 100% Viura grapes, it is fresh and clean with lightly floral aromas and a silky texture.

Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2008 – Classic New Zealand style.  Vibrant currant-leaf, citrus and gooseberry aromas, with freshly cut herb undertones.  A full flavored, medium bodied wine, with an abundance of archetypal currant and gooseberry flavors that linger on the dry, clean finish.

Marques de Caceres Rioja Tinto Crianza, 2005 – A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano aged in French and American oak casks.  This wine features spicy aromas and berry fruit flavors with a velvety finish.  Best with hearty dishes, roasts, grilled meats, or tapas.
