from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Darien, CT
Cost: Free
Event ID #264110
"Wine in a box" ... hang on, it's not what you think. First, we have
wooden boxes around the store featuring wines for $10 or less. They are
great values; the kind of wines you'll want to grab a ton of and fill
up a box of your own!
~ Poggio Dei Salici Trebbiano 2007 ~
Poggio Dei Salici is 100% Trebbiano and fermented in stainless steel tanks, which allows the
carefully selected fruit to shine. It is a bright, flavorful white with subtle, yet crisp acidity and a
fruity finish.
~ Moon Mountain Chardonnay 2005 ~
This alluring wine offers tangy nectarine, crisp lemon and apple flavors, with subtle notes of
nutmeg and oak. This is a well-structured wine, with lifted fruit, bright acidity and a long finish.
Subtle nuances of butter balance out the crisp acidity, making this Chardonnay an ideal food
wine.
~ Castel Mont Boi Crianza 2004 ~
The Castell Mont Boi is a blend of 50% Tempranillo with 25% Grenache and 25% Monastrell. It
offers hints of dark fruit on the nose with pepper and tobacco to follow. Finishes smokey with soft
tannin.
~ Michael Sullberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 ~
A very enjoyable value price Cabernet. Ripe, forward berry fruit is complimented by notes of
chocolate and vanilla oak.
