Mirabelle Restaurant will host Jane Starwood, author of Long Island Wine Country for a six-course dinner featuring wines of Wölffer Estate Vineyard, Paumanok Vineyards, Waters Crest and Diliberto Winery, among Long Island’s best. Jane Starwood will be on-hand to discuss Long Island wines and sign copies of her book. Cost of the dinner is $5 per person.  Seatings begin at 6 p.m. The menu, created by award-winning chef Guy Reuge, is designed to complement each wine utilizing the summer bounty of local markets and is as follows:

Lobster and tomato broth with corn bread

Caramelized sea scallop, ginger bouillon, lemon jam, braised scallions

Pan roasted striped bass, sweet garlic sauce, potato fondants, black olive tapenade

Honey glazed duck breast, pickled peach, braising greens, pickled duck sauce

Air cured wagu beef, braised beef short rib, cauliflower truffle puree

Catapano Farm goat cheesecake, popcorn ice cream, tarragon syrup
