Hamptons Wines & Liquors, a new retail store in East Hampton, will hold a Grand Opening Party on Friday, August 14, from 5-7 pm. The opening celebration will feature an appearance by top Long Island chef, Tom Schaudel, who will sign copies of his book “Playing with Fire: Whining & Dining on the Gold Coast,” an “insider’s peek into the crazy world of Long Island restaurant culture.” Conveniently located on Montauk Highway at 100 B Pantigo Place in East Hampton (just east of Town Hall, between Goldberg’s Bagels and Peconic Beverage), Hamptons Wines & Liquors is the Hamptons’ newest destination for premium wines and liquors, featuring a wide selection of French, Italian, Fair Trade, Long Island, organic and seasonal wines as well as top-shelf liquors. More About Chef Tom Schaudel After graduating from The Culinary Institute in 1973 and working in various restaurants, Tom opened his first restaurant, Panama Hatties, in Huntington in 1983. He has been the driving force behind numerous restaurants on Long Island. His current lineup includes Coolfish (Syosset), aMano (Mattituck), Gabrielle’s (Rockville Center) and the new D’Latte Too (Greenport) and Dragonfish (Greenport). For the past five years, Tom has been making wine with the help of the Massoud family of Paumanok Vineyards under the “Coolfish” and Tom Schaudel "Reserve" labels. He also operates a restaurant consulting business. |
