Come to a summer wine release party with Magnanimus Wine Group at Tierra – Art, Garden, Wine on Thursday, August 13 from 5-8pm. Magnanimus debuts two new vintages: the Mendocino Farms 2005 Redvine Series and the Ukiah Cellars 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Magnanimus Wine Group proprietor Owsley Brown, III and his team are committed to producing a portfolio of fine wines showcasing the unique terroir and sustainable growing practices of Mendocino County vineyards.
The Mendocino Farms 2005 Redvine Series is a blend of Demeter certified Biodynamic® 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petite Sirah, and 12% Syrah. The name of this proprietary blend comes from the soil type common to the two source vineyards, Heart Arrow and Fairbairn Ranches, set along the upper Russian River watershed in Mendocino County.
Grapes in the 2007 Ukiah Cellars Cabernet come from the Nelson Family Vineyard where the alluvial gravels and ancient marine sediments west of the Russian River are ideal for growing supple, rich fruit. The grapes sourced for this wine are produced with California Certified Fish Friendly Farming techniques and by a Sustainable Winegrowing Program Participant.
To accent both of these new wines Tierra will be serving complimentary bison sliders with local ingredients from JBarS Buffalo Ranch and Schat’s Bakery.
