Please join us for a very special TNT: Thursday Night Tasting Event on July 30th, 2009 as we welcome Akiko Kino to the Galerie de Grand Cru Tasting Room at Grand Cru Wine Bar! An accomplished artist who has exhibited her work internationally in Japan and Liechtenstein, Akiko is now pleased to have opportunities to show her work in Seattle. A graduate of Toita College in Tokyo with a degree in art and mentored by internationally renowned painter, Masando Kito, Akiko's canvases capture creative color combinations and design. Especially unique is Akiko's use of a knife to apply paint, which gives her paintings texture and dimension that you'll want to see in person to truly appreciate.


To accompany Akiko's debut in our Galerie de Grand Cru Tasting Room, we welcome back Dean Bachmayer from Noble Wines, who brings with him an incredible discovery from down under. We had the opportunity to taste these Tscharke and Glaymond wines made by rising winemaking superstar Damien Tscharke. These rich, delicious wines truly represent the Grand Cru philosophy of constantly trying to seek out wines for our customers that perform beyond their price point. Simply put, these critics' darlings are not to be missed. Available quantities here in the local market are small and anyone interested in these wines should not miss this opportunity.
