Wine OR Wine & Food

White wines from Spain and Portugal are crisp, refreshing, and generally underknown. Made almost exclusively from indigenous grapes, these wines are distinctive and delicious and offer exceptional value for the money. For this tasting we'll explore Vinho Verde, Portugal's best-known white wine; its Spanish equivalent, and several indigenous whites from Spain. The wines will be:

• Ulacia 2006 Getariako Txakolina
• Broadben Vinho Verde
• Licia 2007 Albarino, Rias Baixas
• Palacios 2005 "Louro do Bolo" Godello, Valdeorras
• Con Class 2007 Rueda
• Acustic Celler 2007 Grenache Blanc / Macabeo, Montsant
  
  

Cost of the tasting is $15. Seatings are at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. RSVPs are required.
