Lucien Le Moine Tasting
July 28, 2009 (Tue)
from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
New York, NY
Cost: 20
Event ID #261613
If there really is such a thing as too much excitement, we're in the midst of it - with another exceptional tasting event. Rotem Brakin will be here this Tuesday evening to host a special tasting of the 2006 Lucien LeMoine Burgundies that she and her husband, Mounir Saouma produce.
Rich, intense and complex, these wines acquired critical acclaim from the first vintage on - and "wowed" us as well. They're produced with minimal intervention to accentuate terroir - wines are moved by gravity, not pumping - and they're bottled without fining or filtration. But there's more - much more to tell - and Rotem will tell all!
The continuing "wow" power of these wines will be on full display this Tuesday, as we taste through a scrumptious LeMoine selection, guided by Rotem - whose personality may rival the wines for exuberance.
We'll begin with the 2006 Bourgogne Blanc - our aperitif, and continue with the following -
2006 Corton Blanc - Yes! This is Grand Cru!
2006 Beaune 1er Cru, Les Reversees
2006 Volnay 1er Cru, Clos des Chenes
2006 Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru, Clos des Ormes
2006 Clos-St-Denis - A Grand Cru Finale! Ooooh la la!
Sorry this is so last minute, but we just learned Rotem would be in town and we couldn't pass up the opportunity for this tasting. Who would! Surely not you! And while some of the wines we'll be showing will be pricey Grand Crus - you - lucky you! - can taste them all for a small tasting fee of $20.00. Plus, buy them (if you choose to) at a special price.
This is an informal stand-up tasting - but NOT a drop-in event. We will begin the tasting promptly, at 6:40 p.m. and conclue at 8:00 p.m. Reservations are required - and there is a $20.00 tasting fee per person, payable at time of reservation.
Call to reserve your space now. I promise you - this will be delicious! And, as always - fun and informative.
