July 23, 2009 (Thu)
from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
New York, NY

This region is one of France's coolest wine growing regions, producing an array of white wines that range from sparkling, to delicate, aromatic whites to richly sweet dessert wines. The red wines of the Loire remain a mystery to some, the flavors of earth and smoke and spice are uniquely Loire and are savory rather than fruity. However, the Loire also produces wines similar in style to Beaujolais, the sodapop of Paris. It's position, on the Atlantic coast of France, follows the course of the Loire River as it heads towards the ocean. Its proximity to Paris, just a few hours drive from the city of Angers, means that many of these wines are favorites in the Parisian Bistros.
Cost is $25 and includes a $10 coupon good for the same evening at Maslow 6.
This seminar will be in the Maslow 6 Wine Shop from 6:30 - 8:30.
