THE JUG SHOP PRESENTS:
Anderson Valley Brewing
Friday, July 17th, 2009
Anderson Valley Brewing Company was among the early pioneers in the craft brew movement when Kenneth Allen began making and selling beer at the Buckhorn Saloon in Anderson Valley way back in 1989. The following few years would see them move from their modest 10 barrel brewing operation to a 30 barrel facility and by 1998 the brewery had increased their annual production to 15,000 barrels, twice what it had been in 1997. The brewery had once again outgrew it's brewing capacity so that year ground was broke on a new state of the art three story Bavarian-style brewhouse. In August of 2000 the new brewery was completed. Utilizing rescued 100 and 85 barrel copper brew kettles from closed German breweries, the new brewhouse provided plenty of quality Anderson Valley beer to its many fans through distribution in over half the states in the US. On Friday July, 17th The Jug Shop is proud to host Anderson Valley Brewing with their full line of beers including Boont Amber Ale, Hop Ottin IPA, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout, Summer Solstice, Brother David's Double and Brother David's Triple.
