Vincent Ehret of Fine Vines will lead this tasting of the wines of Dominque Lafon and Aubert de Villaine, arguably two of the most important and influential Burgundy vignerons of the current era. Though they could easily rest their reputation based upon their work at Domaine de la Romanee Conti and Domaine de la Comte Lafon, they have dedicated much of the energy to projects in the Cote Challonaise and Maconais.
We can do this, people. We need 8 - 12 volunteers to commit to a sit down tasting of the mind-melting and (mostly) affordable (mostly) white Burgundies made by Dominque Lafon in the Macon and Aubert de Villaine in the Cote Challonaise. These are arguably some of the most vastly underappreciated and undervalued wines in all of Burgundy, and not just because of the proprietary relationship to the quasi-mythical Domaine de la Romanee Conti, which is made by Aubert de Villaine, and Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Dominique Lafon's (he's a freaking Count!) family winery in Meursault. Basically, these dudes don't have to put their names on anything ever again.
