Wine Tasting! Smell-o-rama event!
July 17, 2009 (Fri) - July 18, 2009 (Sat)
from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Garden Grove, CA
Cost: Just $10 for 5 wines or $10 for 3 better wines
Event ID #260428
Last week, Spain, this week, Portugal. Officially, a Portuguese Smell-O-Rama!
We've come to love the wines of Portugal. The country is home to so much more than Port. The dry white and red wines are delicious, exotic, unique and cheap! There are a few different growing regions in Portugal and we're showcasing the finest of them. From Vinho Verde, to Dao, to Porto, from very light, faint colored to rich, full bodied red.
To make thinks more fun, and educational, we're also bringing back Smell-O-Rama! Each wine corresponds with a "Smelling Station", where the aromas in the wine are mirrored by a fresh aroma kit at the station. The idea is to deconstruct the aromas in wine and represent them with fresh fruits or spices that you are familiar with in everyday. For example, fresh cut lemon and lime = Sauvignon Blanc. It will help you be able to tease apart the aromas that you smell in wine.
Friday, July 17th, 4-9pm
Saturday, July 18th, 12-9pm
$10 for 5 wines or
$10 for 3 better wines
