“A Case for Wine” Too Wine Tasting Party at The James Lobby Bar

In honor of the Art Institute’s newly opened “A Case for Wine: From King Tut to Today” exhibition, The James literally toasts this exploration of art through the vine with the “A Case for Wine Too” a wine tasting in The James lobby bar on Wednesday, July 22 from 6 to 9pm.

Guests are welcome to sip their way through a brief history of wine, told through ten bottles and paired expertly with complimentary hors d'oeuvres from David Burke’s Primehouse Executive Chef Rick Gresh. The full tasting of ten wines will be offered for $15 per guest, and glass pours are all available for $7 each. Wine experts from Heritage Cellars will be on hand pouring selections including 2007 Domaine Skouras St. George; 2007 Chateau de Gourgazaud Minervois; 2006 Chateau Jacquet, Bordeaux Superieur; 2007 Alexander Valley Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma; and Yalumba Y Shiraz-Viognier.

Reservations are not required and everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy “A Case for Wine Too”, the perfect end to the day or pre-dinner option before enjoying a meal at David Burke’s Primehouse.
