We are happy and pleased to offer a special free tasting featuring the wines of Bodegas Lopez de Heredia. They continue to be one of the most respected names in Rioja, producing beautifully old fashion styled wines. Carefully crafted, without chemicals, pesticides, or chapitalization. These are hand harvested wines that are carefully oak aged and made to last. For four generations, this property has never left the hands of the family that founded it.
In the style of traditional Spanish winemaking, they hold back and release wines with age on them. Their current release rosé is a 1998 vintage that shows an amazing freshness over beautifully subtle oxidized notes.
If you’ve never tasted old fashioned traditional Rioja, this is a good place to start.
