It’s summer and what better wines to pair with slow-grilled meats or fresh seafood right off the grill than a bold California Zinfandel or slightly chilled Sauvignon Blanc.
On July 28th, we will be tasting a variety of Zinfandels and Sauvignon Blancs that are perfect complements for barbecued meats, grilled seafood or for just sipping with friends under the trellis.
For those of you who love Zinfandel, one of the many Zinfandels we will be pouring at this tasting is the 2007 Mauritsan Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel which is a rising star with a Wine Spectator rating of 92 .
And, for those of you who love the tropical fruit flavors and dry acidity of a good Sauvignon Blanc, we'll be pouring from the likes of Matanzas Creek, Voss, Murphy-Goode, Jax, and many others.
