Guests will preview the spectacular 2008 vintage, tipped by wine critics and vintners as the best in decades. Bid on 2008 Pinot Noirs created especially for ¡Salud! when vintners from 42 invited wineries pour prerelease samples of their special wines at Friday’s exciting Big Board auction at Domaine Drouhin Oregon.
Saturday's black tie dinner at the Governor Hotel in Portland includes an oral and silent auction of rare wines, special dinners with the winemakers and one-of-a-kind wine trips in Oregon and Europe. Information on absentee bids is available at info@tuality.org
Over $730,000 was raised in 2008 placing the event squarely among the Northwest’s top fundraisers.
¡Salud! provides healthcare outreach services for seasonal vineyard workers and their families. Since this mobile workforce rarely qualifies for health insurance plans, they are unable to receive benefits. To fill this void, a dedicated group of Oregon vintners and volunteers associated with Tuality Healthcare Foundation created a bi-lingual, bi-cultural service calling it ¡Salud!, for the traditional Spanish toast “to your health.”
