Our Friday Night Wine Down’s continue with wines from the Opici Importing Company. These easy wines are perfect for summertime sippin’. Anna Lisa Stockwell of the Opici Importing Company will join us to talk about the following wines. Of course there will be more than talking. You’ll get to taste the wines too!

2007 Waterbrook Chardonnay
Wine Spectator – 88 Points
A crisp, minerally style, with some pizzazz, offering green apple, white pepper and lime flavors that echo on the finish. Drink now through 2010.

2007 Monchhof Estate Riesling

Wine Spectator – 87 Points

A straightforward quaffer, showing peach, apple and citrus flavors. Balanced, with a crisp finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.

2006 Vinum Cellars Zin 91 Old Vine Zinfandel

The 2006 Old Vine Zinfandel was sourced from an exceptional vineyard in California’s Dry Creek. The wine is well structured with a unique resinous pepper-spice. The ripe, juicy character of red raspberry marries nicely with the more supple dark plum and cherry flavors.
