Green Jug Wine Tasting Bar – Flight of Pinot Fancy

The weekend before last we poured selections from the Wine Spectator Magazine top 100 Wines of 2008 and they were nothing short of amazing. Chateaux Pontet Canet and Rauzan Segla demonstrated dramatically why Bordeaux is the benchmark for all other Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world. The lush texture and layers of flavor from the Mollydooker Shiraz were hugely popular. There was an aspect to love in every wine that was poured that Saturday.

The granite-topped Wine Tasting Bar at Green Jug will come alive again the weekend of Saturday, July 11th, as we present a flight of wines from the noble Pinot Noir. Pinots from renowned vineyards in California, Oregon and France will flow as we delve into the glorious fragrance, beguiling flavors and finishes of silk that this grape offers when in the hands of master winemakers. We will have a showcase wine from the Fiddlestix vineyard in California and a Mystery Wine to intrigue you.

For everyone who is in love with pinot noir and for everyone who has considered falling in love, this is a tasting to which you will want to come. Bring a wine-loving friend – perhaps a friend who has not yet been to the wine tasting bar.
