Judgment of Paris: The Wines of Bordeaux
July 13, 2009 (Mon)
from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Austin, TX
Cost: $15
Event ID #257879
Join us Monday, July 13, for the first in a four-part series of wine
events at Cissi's Market, which we're calling "The Judgment of Paris."
Up first: the wines of Bordeaux.
These fun-filled evenings will combine wine tastings with informal lessons about the history of the wines of California and France, as we learn about the legendary 1976 Paris wine tasting between the two sides that forever changed the world of wine.
Our first event will focus on the wines of Bordeaux, perhaps the world's most famous wine region. Cissi's Market will be serving representative samples of Bordeaux wine, while Jeff Brooks (founder of the Young Austin Wine Lovers) will give a fun and laid-back presentation on the history of Bordeaux's wines. It will be a fun and fascinating evening!
All sampled wines will be available for purchase by the bottle. The charge for the tasting and presentation is $15.
We hope to see you there!
(Stay tuned! Upcoming events will focus on the wines of Burgundy, the wines of Napa and Sonoma, and the 1976 tasting itself!)
