Come out to sip by the shore, watch the sun set over the Gulf and enjoy gourmet delights, try a fabulous array of wines and even pick up some tips to help you on the way to being a true oenophile. Selections from The Colony's award-winning wine list, as well as cheeses, pates, salads and other epicurean items are available at Tastebuds. The June 27th Tastebuds Tasting will feature a 2007 La Joya Sauvignon Blanc and 2007 Lurton Malbec. The Chilean La Joya is rich with refreshing apple and pear flavors, vivid and bright acidity, layered in spicy, floral and grapefruit notes into a complex finish. The Lurton Malbec from Argentina features a notable rich, dark berry and plum with currant nuances, touches of wood characters, with soft tannins, leading to a well balanced finish. |
