The Abilities Foundation announces that the Safety Harbor Spa will host a French Wine Dinner & Live Auction on Bastille Day, Tuesday, July 14, 2009.  “This dinner is dedicated to in loving memory to former Abilities Guild president Midge Coward, who lost a valiant battle with cancer,” said Frank De Lucia, CEO of the Abilities Foundation.  “We are featuring Francois Deforges, and Republic National Distributing Company district manager Brian Williams, who will be pairing the wines for this celebration.”

The cuisine for this seven-course French dinner is being prepared under the direction of Francois Deforges, Food & Beverage Director at Safety Harbor Spa and native of France who has a strong French culinary background. The Foundation's relation with Francois goes back many years to his days at Profusion in Tampa, where we teamed to stage three highly successful wine dinners.

Also featured is Brian Williams, a District Manager at Republic National Distributing Company, with whom the Foundation has a 20-year partnership. Brian is a seasoned professional who, together with Francois, will hand-select and pair the dinner wines. 

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets price is $75 per person, which includes tax and gratuity.  Charitable proceeds benefit the Abilities Foundation.  The Safety Harbor Spa is located at 105 N.
