July 18 Fresh & Healthy Mediterranean Dinner with Fine Wines

The health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet have now been recognized the world over. It is not just the warm climate, beautiful and romantic islands and the deep azure sea, with all its' enchantments, but the wonderful fresh food that the locals enjoy as part of their daily diet.

Rich in fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and seafood, the Mediterranean diet is a diet for lovers of fresh food with the minimum of preparation, and this has the benefit of not only assisting in weight loss but also reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer. In the countries bordering Mediterranean, the local diet is based on seasonal produce, usually grown by the villages, but now we can enjoy these fresh foods all year round, easily obtained from your local markets.

Wine, particularly red wine has long been an important part of the traditional Mediterranean Diet Red wine is rich in health giving anti-oxidants and is also acknowledged to have beneficial effects on the heart and arteries, so to enjoy a glass of wine with this diet is perfectly acceptable. Dinner and wines $65.00 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
