Great rubs, marinades and sauces can turn an inexpensive piece of meat
into a gourmet masterpiece. Fleming’s expands its Grilling Seminars to
discover the tricks to creating perfect barbeque and smoked meats with
its July course.
Fleming’s chefs will show guests alternatives cuts to filets and strips, offer recipes on rubs, marinades and sauces, then head to the smoker provided by Barbeques Galore for some on-hand dos and don’ts to cooking. Cuts of meat like brisket and skirt steak usually cost less but are not as tender. A rub or marinade will soften the cut and add flavor to the final dish.
After the sessions guests will get to sample some barbeque and smoked meats while Fleming’s wine managers offer suggestions on wine pairings. The 90-minute sessions are only $10. Seating is limited and reservations are required - 480-940-1900.
