The Rochester Chapter of Women for WineSense is proud to present an ‘Evening with Palmaz Vineyards’. One of Napa Valley’s premier, boutique Cabernet Sauvignon producers. The wine press calls Palmaz “one of the top wineries of the world,” “spectacular,” “an astonishing Napa winery” (The Wine Review), and “one of the most incredible winemaking facilities in Napa Valley” (Wine Business Daily). Palmaz has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast.
Palmaz’s first consulting winemaker was the legendary Randy Dunn of the famed Dunn Vineyards who established his reputation at the Caymus Winery and Pahlmeyer. The current consulting winemaker is Mia Klein, one of America’s most sought-after consulting winemakers. Mia has consulted with Araujo Estate, Spottswoode, Dalla Valle and Viader and produces her own Selene label wines. Food & Wine named Mia “Winemaker of the Year” in 2003.
We will be featuring the sold out vintages of 2002, 2003 and 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 100% allocated 2007 Chardonnay and the famed dessert wine, Muscat Canelli. These wines are currently not available in the Rochester market and very difficult to obtain. They illustrate true elegance and this opportunity is one not to be missed. Join us as we guide you through the unbelievable cult wines of Palmaz. This winery is not open to the public and this experience will be one to remember.
