Summer brews and blues at the perfect pint-sized festival. British keys-led Funk masters, James Taylor Quartet and Jazz legend Courtney Pine are confirmed to headline this summer’s Greenwich Beer & Jazz Festival. The festival returns for its 2nd year to the lazy lawns of King Charles Gardens at the Old Royal Naval College for five days and nights from 8-12 July. This year’s festival promises a great line up of established names along with rising stars from the worlds of traditional jazz, funk, Latin and blues.
All senses will be satisfied with a huge range of real ales, ciders and summer brews from the best of British breweries at the Real Ale Garden and The Cider Orchard, along with bottled beers and summer cocktails at Bar Fiesta along with a Festival Soul Foods area. This official CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Festival is in the perfect setting following in the footsteps of the great brewing tradition of the Old Royal Naval College itself, and it’s all washed down with the perfect accompaniments – great music, and, fingers crossed, some great summer sunshine!
The music stage will be featuring an eclectic mix of summer sounds; from chilled lunchtimes to energetic evening sessions. The music will just keep on coming from 12.30pm to 10.00pm. This year’s line-up includes Courtney Pine, Jonny Boston and TJ Johnson along with funk legends James Taylor Quartet, ska heroes Los Albertos and the sweet Bossa Nova vibes of Jandira Silva, among others.
Generously supported by Jazz FM, Meantime and nelson Breweries. |
