This Independence Day, Pourtal salutes America’s most intrepid winemakers with the debut of “United Grapes of America,” a patriotic Tasting Tour of at least 30 wines from 30 different states. Each wine will be available by the taste through Pourtal’s state-of-the-art Enomatic system, along with tasting notes and pairing suggestions. Owner Stephen Abronson and Wine Director Peter Birmingham sourced exceptional, defining wines from different states in the U.S., giving nod to the area in which it was produced. The unique collection includes such regional finds as apple cider wine from Maine and key lime ice-style wine from Florida, as well as the game-friendly “Cowboy Reserve” from Wyoming and a “Super Texan” sangiovese from Texas. Representing California is the Tim Mondavi Continuum, made from the original Robert Mondavi vineyard. The “United Grapes of America” tour will represent as many states as possible; local state laws prevent the purchase of wine from the remaining states. A full list of wines will be available on www.pourtal.com. Join Pourtal's email or twitter list for a special VIP admission one hour prior to the public opening.
