SideBern’s Summer Wine Dinner

SideBern’s will present a Seasonal Summer Wine Dinner on July 16, 2009.   At this dinner, Executive Chef Chad Johnson will allow the beauty and flavors of summer vegetables and produce to take the lead on your plate and use proteins to garnish each dish. 

Watermelon, heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, Chanterelle mushrooms, pole beans and peaches will all be featured in this light summer menu garnished with Bay scallops, black bass, roasted quail, and wagyu skirt steak.  An unconventional cheese course will emphasize traditional accompaniments while SideBern’s artisanal cheeses will serve as the complementing flavors.  

To complement each course, Wine Director Kevin Pelley has scoured the globe for the best summer-style wines from several wine regions including Spain, Greece, Napa Valley, South America and Northern Italy.

Cherry, Porcini, Fig- cana de oveja, tomme de crayeuse, saint agur

Peach – pine nut chew, mascarpone, Marsala, white chocolate
2006 Maculan ‘Dindarello’ Moscato, Italy
