Many artists in today's music arena have blurred the genre lines - whether it's mixing techno beats with pop choruses or infiltrating slick bass lines with snappy R&B hooks. Not many artists actually coin their own genre, but in the case of Los Angeles based up-and-comer Jason Damato, the genre which best describes his sound is Beach Soul.

What is Beach Soul you may ask yourself? Well, Damato creates a soulful shoreline atmosphere on his debut EP, Floating Down a River.  At the mere age of twenty-one, Damato has the ability to turn life's hardships into beautifully crafted songs which reflect a wisdom far beyond his years. Citing influences from a wide variety of music genres including Ben Harper, Ella Fitzgerald, U2, and Jeff Buckley, Damato has a deep passion for music which goes beyond performing into a way of life for the young artist.

The "Live from the Middle Reach" music series at C. Donatiello Winery is set in the Organic Aroma Gardens, with sweeping views of the Russian River Valley’s Middle Reach, also known as the “Gold Coast” of California Pinot Noir. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to pair with C. Donatiello wines while enjoying its outdoor café-style seating. The event runs every Sunday from June 28th to September 27th from 1pm to 4pm. Wine tasting is offered daily from 11am to 5pm.
