Pairing gourmet cuisine with fine wines, East LA Meets Napa is a unique event that celebrates the richness of Mexican food and the success of Latino-owned vineyards in California.
East LA Meets Napa Is Unique With over 1,000 estimated in attendance at this year’s event, East LA Meets Napa has established itself as the premiere event worldwide for pairing Latino owned and influenced California wines with Mexican and Spanish style foods. There is no other event like this that allows people to enjoy food selections from over two dozen different restaurants with wine from an assortment of California wineries.
Join the filmmaker and some of the cast from the movie “Bottle Shock” Bottle Shock is a 2008 film that tells the story of the events that lead up to the Judgment of Paris in 1976, when California wine beat French wine in a blind taste test. Directed by Randall Miller, the film stars a colorful cast including Alan Rickman, Chris Pine, Bill Pullman, Rachael Taylor, Eliza Dushku, Bradley Whitford, Freddy Rodriguez, and Miguel Sandoval. Bottle Shock rivals the 2004 epic movie Sideways, instead setting the early years of Napa Valley as the backdrop. Guests and speakers are subject to change.
