Roses are often a misunderstood, overlooked category of wine. People are wary of pink :-/ But the catch is....rose can have as much complexity, nuance, and flavor as any red or white! Sometimes even more...  Rose is also FANTASTIC with all different kinds of food. With rose, you truly get the best of both worlds and at this event, we're here to prove it once and for all...

Nick Cobb, a champion for rose wines, will be preaching his gospel on roses and featuring several he feels give a good variety of styles and flavors. And Chef Yvette Taylor will be pairing an array of dishes to complement these wines.

Roses:

• Mas St Berthe Rosé (Provence)
• Muri Gries Rosato (Alto Adige, organic)
• St. Cyrgues Rosé (Costieres de Nimes, organic)
• Contadino 2 (red and white grape blend, sicily)

Food:

• Charcuterie: (served with crostini and blue cheese)
  • Pâté de Campagne (Country Style Pork Terrine with Mission Fig and Pistachios)
  • Wild Mushroom Pâté
• Watermelon, Red Onion and Feta Salad with Basil Mint Dressing
• Peach Schnapps Cured Salmon Canapes with Cilantro Cream Cheese and Sweet Chili Sauce
• Roasted Peach Tart (Black Pepper, Honey and Truffle Oil Drizzle)
• Chocolate Fettucini with Rose Wine Beurre Blanc
